Tansy Fernley is a children’s author, elementary school teacher, and mom of three creative kids. Through Pebblewink Books, she creates playful, heartfelt stories and engaging learning resources that help children laugh, grow, navigate big feelings, and see themselves reflected in the pages they read.

Drawing from both classroom and family life, Tansy creates books and activities that support children, parents, and educators in making learning meaningful, imaginative, and joyful.

A Lifelong Love of Stories

Tansy Fernley has been scribbling stories since Grade 1—back when pencils were oversized, spelling was questionable, and imagination ran the show.

From the moment she learned to write, she loved the magic of words and the way stories could capture small but meaningful moments in childhood.

Today, Tansy writes books inspired by real childhood experiences—full of laughter, big feelings, creativity, and everyday challenges. Her stories are designed to help children feel seen, reassured, and confident as they navigate the messy, emotional, and wonderful parts of growing up.

She believes every child deserves stories that feel a little like their own.

Creating Meaningful Resources

Alongside her books, Tansy creates engaging resources and activities designed to support parents, teachers, and children throughout their learning journey—encouraging creativity, confidence, and connection through play and storytelling.

In the Classroom

Tansy has taught children from preschool through Grade 6, including neurodiverse learners, and deeply values the individuality, creativity, and curiosity every child brings to learning.
